Kiersten Amos
Kiersten N. Amos is counsel with McInnes Cooper, a large regional law firm in Atlantic Canada, where her practice is focused in the areas of labour, employment and pension law. In addition to acting as the chief negotiator in collective bargaining, Amos represents clients before the courts, tribunals and labour boards as well as at arbitrations. Amos provides strategic advice to clients on a wide range of labour relations and human resources issues. She also advises pension and benefit plans on such matters as governance, trustee obligations, regulatory requirements and obligations, and plan amendments. Amos started her legal career with McInnes Cooper and recently returned to practice with the firm from a role as general counsel with a large health care company based in Atlantic Canada. This role included business responsibility for the company’s human resources, labour relations, and occupational health and safety. Amos is currently a member of the International Foundation of Employee Benefit Plans and an instructor for the Advanced Trust Management Standards (ATMS™) program.
