Mindy Harris CRA, CRC
Mindy Harris joined NFP in 2012 as a senior consultant, specializing in public sector defined contribution and defined benefit retirement plans. She advises public sector clients in the areas of fiduciary responsibility, participant and fiduciary education, plan administration, and provider services and relationships. Prior to joining NFP, Harris served Multnomah County (Portland), Oregon as the chief financial officer and director of administration. Her responsibilities included managements of the finance, human resources, employee benefits, budget, assessment and taxation, procurement and other administrative infrastructure operations. Harris was the plan administrator for Multnomah County’s 457 deferred compensation plan for nearly 20 years. She was elected to the executive board of the National Association of Government Defined Contribution Administrators (NAGDCA) and served as president of the association in 2008. While president, she testified before the U.S. House Ways and Means Committee regarding fee disclosure for retirement investment plans. Under her leadership, Multnomah County received nine awards from NAGDCA for leadership recognition in the field of defined contribution administration. Harris was invited to be on the advisory board for Oregon Saves, the first state-run multiemployer retirement savings program in the country. She graduated from Portland State University with a bachelor of science degree in business administration, concentrating in management and accounting. Harris earned her designations as a certified retirement administrator and certified retirement counselor through the International Foundation for Retirement Education.
