Marcelle Henry Esq., LL.M.

Marcelle J. Henry is a partner and chairperson of the ERISA/Employee Benefits Practice Group at Pitta LLP. Ms. Henry has many years of experience representing multi-employer Taft Hartley pension and welfare funds, regularly advising clients on The Employee Retirement Income Security Act of 1974, as amended (“ERISA”) plan administration and compliance issues. She brings a wide breadth and depth of knowledge and experience with respect to federal laws applicable to employee benefit plans. Ms. Henry also has experience drafting and administering single employer plans. Ms. Henry is a member and frequent speaker for the International Foundation of Employee Benefit Plans (“IFEBP”) and the American Bar Association Labor and Employment Law Employee Benefits Committee. Ms. Henry is a former contributing author and Union Co-Chair Chapter Editor for Chapter 8 of the Employee Benefits Law Treatise and Supplements. In 2022, Ms. Henry was appointed by Secretary of Labor Martin J. Walsh to serve on the U.S. Department of Labor’s Advisory Council on Employee Welfare and Pension Benefit Plans (the “ERISA Advisory Council”). Also, in 2022, Ms. Henry was selected by Crain’s New York Business for the 2022 Notable Diverse Leaders in Law issue. Ms. Henry was appointed by the Executive Committee of the IFEBP to the Health Care Management Committee effective January 1, 2023. Ms. Henry is a member of the Bar of the State of New York and admitted to practice law in the State of Indiana. Ms. Henry graduated from Michigan State University College of Law and has an LL.M. in Taxation from New York University School of Law.
