Michael Joyce Esq., CEBS

Michael D. Joyce serves as senior vice president and senior investment consultant for Segal Marco Advisors in Boston, Massachusetts. He consults primarily with jointly trusteed pension, annuity, welfare and other benefit plans in addition to public and single employer plans. Joyce is responsible for advising, consulting and providing discretionary services to clients on full range of issues. This includes asset allocation, manager and provider selection and review, corporate governance, compliance and fiduciary issues, performance measurement, custodial selection and liability analysis. A principal of the firm, he is a member of the firm’s management committee and discretionary management committee and is responsible for the firm’s consulting practice on the East Coast. Joyce was previously a partner with Murphy, Hesse, Toomey & Lehane in Quincy, Massachusetts in its employee benefits practice group, working with Taft-Hartley, public and corporate benefit plans as well as commercial real estate support. He has earned the Certified Employee Benefit Specialist® (CEBS®) designation and is a Gold member of the International Society of Certified Employee Benefit Specialists (ISCEBS), a past president of the ISCEBS Governing Council and is CEBS Compliant. Joyce is a member of the Massachusetts Bar Association and on the board of several nonprofit organizations and recently served as a director on the Notre Dame Alumni Board. He graduated from the University of Notre Dame and Suffolk University Law School.
