Sarah Sanchez Esq.

Ms. Sanchez is a principal with Slevin & Hart P.C. in Washington, D.C. She specializes in employee benefits law and related litigation and has practiced exclusively in the field of employee benefits law since join-ing the firm in 2000. Ms. Sanchez has extensive experience in matters relating to multiemployer welfare plans and pension plans under ERISA and related laws. Ms. Sanchez assists clients with all aspects of employee benefits law, including tax qualification, plan design, con-tract review, funding issues, administrative compliance and govern-ment agency audits and investigations. She has worked with both pension and welfare clients to effectuate plan mergers and spinoffs. Ms. Sanchez also has assisted clients in negotiating the agreements required in connection with complex alternative investment strategies, including private equity and hedge fund investments. Ms. Sanchez also has substantial experience in recovering overpaid benefits for plan clients through the litigation process. She earned her juris doctorate degree, cum laude, from Georgetown University Law Center and her bachelor of arts degree in history from the University of Mary-land.
