Tyler Smith FCIA, FSA
Tyler Smith is a senior institutional client manager with Fiera Capital in Winnipeg, Manitoba. He works with the institutional markets team of Fiera Capital, focusing on multi-employer and jointly-trusteed clients, to provide a variety of investment solutions. Prior to joining Fiera Capital, Smith worked as a pension and investment consultant, working extensively with jointly-trusteed pension and benefit plans—as well as both public and private sector plans, providing advice on investment strategies, plan funding, design and administration. He has held a variety of senior positions with global consulting firms and has over 20 years of experience in the pension and benefits industry. Smith is a frequent speaker and instructor for the International Foundation of Employee Benefit Plans and has served as a director on the national board for the Canadian Pension and Benefits Institute. He is a fellow of the Canadian Institute of Actuaries and fellow of the Society of Actuaries. Smith holds a bachelor of commerce degree from the University of Manitoba.
