Tralonda Triplett Ph.D., M.P.H.
Dr. Tralonda Triplett is the director of operations for the Institute for Successful Leadership, Inc. In that role, Dr. Triplett designs, develops, and evaluates innovative interventions to improve the health of vulnerable populations across the street and around the globe. “Heal the people, heal the world” is Dr. Triplett’s signature mantra for addressing individual, sociocultural, and environmental health risks, and it serves as a strong foundation to promoting lifelong wellness for all populations. Her impassioned advocacy for collaboration from multiple sectors mobilizes communities toward comprehensive health and improved quality of life. Dr. Triplett completed undergraduate degrees in Business Administration from Clark Atlanta University and in Industrial and Systems Engineering from Georgia Tech. She is honored as a University of Michigan Bridges to the Doctorate Fellow, a McKnight Doctoral Fellow, and a Distinguished Alumna of the University of Miami Leonard M. Miller School of Medicine, where she earned her master of public health degree and doctorate of epidemiology degree with a specialty in public health ethics. Dr. Triplett has served as keynote speaker, facilitator, trainer, and panelist in numerous human rights and social justice advocacy efforts including the Congressional Black Caucus Foundation’s inaugural racial equity summit and its 2023 Policy to the People Health Equity Summit entitled “Vital Signs.” Dr. Triplett also cofacilitated the national summit on health equity for the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention Office of Health Equity and the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services. She spoke at Harvard University’s McLean Hospital’s Institute for Trauma-Informed Systems Change global leadership series with her presentation entitled “Social Justice, Faith, Trauma and the Way Forward”, and she was keynote speaker for the Police, Treatment, and Community Collaborative conference. Dr. Triplett has also published a chapter entitled “Public Safety: An Essential Contributor to Public Health and Public Equity” in Health Equity, African Americans and Public Health, and she is a member of the advisory council for the Hastings Center and the leadership council for the Florida Bioethics Network.
